Digital Archive from a Geophysical Survey and Archaeological Evaluation at Clapham, Bedford, 2022 and 2023

This collection geophysical survey data, georectified geophysics results, site photographs, site records, reports, spreadsheets and GIS data from a geophysical survey and evaluation at Clapham, Bedford. Work was carried out by Archaeology England Limited between February 2022 and May 2023.

The geophysical survey documented three areas containing the remains of past activity, one of which may directly link to cropmarks evidenced in aerial photography and recorded in the Historic Environment Records. No archaeological activity was recorded during the survey in the NW region of the field. The archaeology identified during the evaluation represents rural settlement and agricultural activity within vicinity of the site spanning from the mid-late Iron Age, through to the present day
