Data for the artical "Relationship between self-neglect and depression in community-dwelling older adults: The mediation role of attitudes toward aging and sleep quality"

Cross-sectional research was conducted in communities in Chengdu area of China. A stratified cluster random sampling method was adopted to divide the entire Chengdu area into three major regions according to the south, middle, and north positions. Then, three communities were randomly selected in each region. Shuangliu Jiang 'an community, Chenghua Qinglong community and Xindu Tuojiang community were chosen for questionnaire investigation. The data were collected between March and May 2022. A total of 617ques-tionnaires were distributed and 555 were returned (a recovery rate of 89.95%).Geriatric Depression Scale, Older adults’ Self-neglect Scale,Attitudes to Aging Questionnaire and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were used in the surey.
