Prevalence of Criminal Legal Involvement Among Emergency Department Patients: Insights from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health 2021-2023 [dataset]

This dataset contains human survey data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) from 2021 to 2023. Conducted annually by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), NSDUH provides nationally representative data on the use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs; substance use disorders; mental health issues; and receipt of substance use and mental health treatment among the civilian, noninstitutionalized population aged 12 or older in the United States. The main data file is in Stata's .dta format, along with a code book and an optional Stata .do file providing the Stata missing value recode program for the main data.
