VPRS 9937 Seal Record Books

Seal Record Books were logs of documents that were signed and sealed by the State Electricity Commission in accordance with the requirements of the Commission.Details recorded include the following:- name of the individual or organisation subject to the contract or deed;- nature of the document and document number;- names of the those who attested the document on behalf of the Commission;- date on which the document was sealed; and- date of Order in Council (if necessary).Entries were made in the Seal Record Books in chronological order as documents were officially signed and sealed.The contents of the Books were divided into three sections:Section 1: Documents sealed by Chairman and Secretary without reference to Commission;Section 2: Documents sealed by Chairman and Secretary subject to report to Commission;Section 3: Documents sealed by quorum of Commission.Section 1 is further divided into sub-sections:- 1A Apprenticeship Indentures,- 1B Debentures,- 1C Contracts for the Supply of Electricity,- 1D Easements and Allied Documents,- 1E Leases and Land Transfers and- F General.
