Brassica rapa is a wintering herbaceous plant, the main cultivation type of rapeseed in China, and is grown in both northern and southern regions. The understanding of the molecular regulatory mechanisms of Si-mediated cadmium tolerance in Brassica rapa remains insufficient. Consequently, it is essential to investigate omics techniques to elucidate the unique mechanisms behind Si-mediated Cd tolerance in B. rapa. The objective of the present study was to explore the molecular regulatory mechanism of Si mediated growth and Cd tolerance in B. rapa, integrated with physiological, biochemical changes leveraging several omics technologies such as transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics. Our findings offer enhanced understanding of the molecular response linked to the Si-mediated mitigation of Cd toxicity in B. rapa.
