<p>The objectives of the Survey of Household Energy Use were to provide detailed information about:</p> <ul> <li>the characteristics of the house that affect air-tightness (thermal envelope),</li> <li>space heating equipment and fuels used,</li> <li>space cooling equipment,</li> <li>water heating equipment,</li> <li>stock and features of the major energy consuming appliances,</li> <li>use of appliances, heating and cooling.</li> </ul> <p>The Survey was administered as a supplement to the February 1993 Labour Force Survey.</p>
