资源简介:
This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to comprehensively evaluate the effects of blood flow restriction (BFR) training on muscle strength, muscle mass, and aerobic capacity in older adults. Despite the growing popularity of BFR training as a low-intensity exercise method to improve fitness outcomes in various populations, its efficacy and safety in older adults remain under-explored. This research intends to fill this gap by aggregating results from randomized controlled trials and observational studies that investigate the impact of BFR training on older adults' physical fitness. Key outcomes will include changes in muscle strength, hypertrophy, and aerobic endurance, along with any reported adverse effects. This evaluation will employ a rigorous methodology to ensure the reliability and validity of findings, including a comprehensive search strategy, strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, and appropriate statistical analysis techniques for synthesizing data. The anticipated results aim to inform practitioners and individuals about the potential benefits and limitations of incorporating BFR training into exercise regimens for the elderly, thereby contributing to optimized fitness and health outcomes in this demographic.
