Mentzelia section Bartonia contains several narrow endemics that are distributed across the North American West. One clade of section Bartonia is primarily found across the Mojave Desert. Within this clade, there are three species that have conservation concerns, however their phylogenetic relationships are not resolved making it difficult to implement conservation planning. We generated RADSeq data to better understand phylogenetic relationships of the Mojave clade to inform conservation management.
