Data Files for California Subregional Path Effect Study

This dataset is a subset of an on-going effort to compile and process recent earthquake ground motion data for seismic hazard analyses and ground motion model development. The provided dataset contains computed ground motion intensity measures (peak-values and pseudo-spectral accelerations) for earthquake events in California, western Nevada, and Baja, Mexico. This includes records from the Next Generation Attenuation West-2 (NGA-West2) Project (Ancheta et al. 2014) and data from earthquakes that have occurred since the completion of the NGA-West2 compilation (post-2011). These data were used to assess subregional path effects across California, which produced a subregional anelastic attenuation model. Subregion boundaries are provided as GeoJson and GIS shapefiles.
