资源简介:
This project investigated a new seismic retrofit method which focuses on not only safety but also on resiliency by minimizing residual displacements (a measure of damage). The target application was buildings with sub-standard reinforced concrete shear walls. The retrofit involves creating a wall base cut for intentional weakening and adding external post-tensioning for self-centering, in addition to external confinement of wall toes to minimize spalling damage. A series of quasi-static cyclic tests that loaded pre- and post-retrofit reinforced concrete shear walls under lateral loading was performed. This dataset summarizes the results of three shear wall tests: one pre-retrofit reinforced concrete shear wall that was not compliant with ACI 318-19 in terms of confinement and transverse reinforcement details, and two retrofitted walls. The differences between the two retrofitted walls were in the shape of the wall base cut (the weakening step), the size of external confinement, and the amount of external post-tensioning (the self-centering step). The dataset includes the details of the three specimens, locations and types of sensors (strain gages, load and displacement sensors), images and recordings of specimens under loading, and raw and processed data such as the load-displacement relation. In addition, the walls were subjected to impact hammer testing to determine dynamic properties before and after testing. Raw and processed accelerometer data are also presented.
