This dataset provides data reference for enterprises, public institutions and individuals engaged in the production and R&D of plate heat exchangers when selecting patent agencies, based on the patent authorization rate and patent agency service retention rate of patent agencies serving plate heat exchanger products, so as to facilitate the screening of higher-quality patent agencies.
1. Data Collection: Relevant patent information of applications filed by plate heat exchanger enterprises, public institutions and individuals is collected via third-party intellectual property retrieval websites, using filtering criteria including region, IPC classification number of patents, patent title, and patent agency.
2. Data Processing: The collected raw data is processed by removing duplicate and incomplete records, followed by data cleaning and classification.
3. Data Calculation: Based on the processed data, the total number of patents, the number of closed patents (i.e., patents no longer under examination), and the number of authorized patents for each agency serving plate heat exchanger products are calculated. Then the following metrics are derived:
- Patent authorization rate: Number of Authorized Patents / Number of Closed Patents for each agency;
- Number of patents with unchanged agency: Counted by comparing the original and current patent agencies using the EXACT function, where a match indicates no agency change;
- Patent agency service retention rate: Number of Patents with Unchanged Agency / Total Number of Patents for each agency.
4. Data Application: This dataset provides data reference for enterprises, public institutions and individuals engaged in plate heat exchanger production and R&D when selecting patent agencies, based on the patent authorization rate and patent agency service retention rate of each patent agency serving plate heat exchanger products, so as to facilitate the screening of higher-quality patent agencies.
