Blood and seminal plasma play vital roles in physiological processes and reproductive health. Blood plasma is essential for transporting nutrients, hormones, and proteins throughout the body, supporting fish health and immune responses. Seminal plasma, particularly critical for reproduction, contains extracellular vesicles (EVs) such as exosomes and microvesicles. These EVs harbor bioactive molecules including proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids, crucial for reproductive functions.In this study, we have conducted a feeding trial utilizing control diets and diets supplemented with algae to improve the reproductive performance and sperm quality in turbot (Scophthalmus maximus), a flatfish prized for aquaculture.
