Genomic Investigation of Coilia brachygnathus Invasion in the Three Gorges Reservoir

The goal of this project is to investigate how Coilia brachygnathus invaded and proliferated in the Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR) using whole-genome resequencing and mitochondrial Cytb sequences. By identifying the source population, invasion pathways, and demographic dynamics, this study provides insights into the genetic mechanisms of invasion and informs management strategies for invasive species in regulated river systems.
