This dataset is a collection of standard Level 2 methane column concentration products from the Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite-1 (GOSAT-1) in 2020. The data originates from the GOSAT satellite, which was launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to monitor atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane concentrations, and it enables once-daily global revisit. To facilitate convenient access for domestic users, this dataset is curated and maintained by the team of the National Earth Observation Science Data Center. Various products are packaged into compressed datasets on a monthly or annual basis for data distribution and service provision.
