Dataset for: Dress Practices among Transwomen in Urban India
收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports the study “Assemblage, Regulation, and Affective Economies: Trans Femininity and Sartorial Self-Presentation on Instagram in Urban India.” The dataset is derived from a purposively selected corpus of 144 publicly available Instagram posts analysed through a structured visual coding framework. In accordance with ethical guidelines for digital and visual research, no raw images, usernames, or identifiable content are included. The dataset comprises a codebook, coding schema, and aggregated analytical outputs reflecting variables such as context, garment type, dress density, affective cues, and engagement metrics. Due to the sensitive nature of the research and the involvement of a marginalised community, the original visual dataset is not publicly shared to preserve contextual integrity, participant privacy, and ethical accountability.
