Parola e Immagine due logiche a confronto

Today image is better than words because it abolishes the fruition of space and needs no hermeneutical efforts. What we say is always less important and quickly forgotten, but image survives itself and lives again in the undergrounds of the conscience, sometimes clouded, of unaware spectators. The monopoly of knowledge does not concern more or less fragmentary specific information, but it concerns the underlying theoretical and conceptual apparatus and its inevitable selective criteria. In this way, it becomes evident that the monopoly of knowledge is realized in the relationship between a certain type of communication and the world vison carried and supported by this type of communication which makes it possible and plausible. We create "monopolies of knowledge" which close over and over again cultural horizons and opportunities of interchange between religious and socio-political systems whose survival conditions are summarized in a dilemma of coherent simplicity: to talk or to die.
