Global and Regional 3D Waveform Simulation Results for Crustal Scattering on Mars
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the synthetic seismic waveforms presented in the paper titled "Numerical Simulations of 3D Scattering Structures Reveal Systematic Underestimation of Marsquake Magnitudes". Synthetic seismograms were computed using A Modified SPECFEM3D_GLOBE Implementation for Martian Crustal Scattering (avilable at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20639284), which was specifically adapted from the official open-source release of the SPECFEM3D_GLOBE package by Komatitsch et al. (2023) (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10411115). Nomenclature for data directories: G: global simulation R2/R3: regional simulation NoTopo/1D: 1D model without topography TopoS[3/7/15]: 1D model + topography (smoothed with 3/7/15 points) Topo_Moho: 3D model scatter/sc: 3D model (with topography and lateral variations in crustal thickness) + scatterers f5/Mex/Mpp/Mrp/Mrr/Mrt/Mtp/Mtt: focal mechanism a[2/5/10/20/50/100]: correlation length (km) of scatterers m[10/20/30/40/50/60]: maximum velocity perturbation (%) of scatterers h[2-42]: source depth (km) md[80/120/160/200]: cut-off depth (km) of the scattering layer in the upper mantle Q[200/500/1000/2000]: intrinsic quality factor (default 1500) S1094b/S1222aN: event name (S1222a located in the northern lowlands, BAZ = 101 deg)
