The Offshore Oil and Gas Platforms (OOGPs) dataset based on satellite data spanning 2017 to 2023

This dataset provides a vector-format inventory of offshore oil and gas platforms (OOGPs) for six major offshore basins, including the Gulf of Mexico, Persian Gulf, North Sea, Caspian Sea, Gulf of Guinea, and Gulf of Thailand, covering the period from 2017 to 2023. The dataset was produced using satellite observations and includes information on locations, country, EEZ, flaring status, installation_date, and removal_date. The dataset is intended to support consistent identification and mapping of offshore oil and gas infrastructure and to facilitate applications in environmental monitoring, infrastructure management, and other geospatial analyses.
