Lupinus mutabilis seed–pod developmental transcriptomes

This study investigates transcriptome profiles of Lupinus mutabilis seeds and pods across two developmental stages, with a particular focus on genes involved in quinolizidine alkaloid (QA) biosynthesis. RNA-seq was used to compare tissues and developmental stages to identify regulatory and biosynthetic genes associated with QA production and accumulation. These data provide a resource for understanding alkaloid metabolism, developmental regulation, and tissue-specific expression patterns in L. mutabilis, supporting future work in lupin crop improvement and metabolic pathway analysis.
