Assessing the Engagement of Transgender and Other Gender Minority Youth Across the HIV Continuum of Care

A mixed-methods study to characterize the HIV prevention and care continua among Transgender and Other Gender Minority Youth (TGMY) ages 16-24. Quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews were conducted with TGMY in care and TGMY not in care. In addition, qualitative interviews were conducted with health care and social service providers who work with TGMY. This study assessed transgender youth experiences with accessing services along the HIV prevention and care continua, including barriers and facilitators to service engagement.
