With The Global Database for Coastal Boulder Deposits (ISROC-DB) - V2p0, ISROC hopes to promote standardization of research pertaining to coastal boulder deposits. Coastal boulder deposits are created and transported by waves on various coastlines around the world. This field is important to coastal engineering, geology, natural hazards and etc. All of the data in ISROC-DB was gathered through field work by different researchers and projects. Making this data open source allows more researchers to use the data for trendmaking and data anaylsis. The categories in this mission contain a combined version of all the individual datasets, data standards, and descriptions. Ultimately, this project serves as a foundational resource that encourages broader scientific cooperation and supports the long-term advancement of shared knowledge in this field.
