Gene expression analyses by PCR array. Gene expression levels were obtained from a mixed coculture system or from fibroblasts exposed to exogenous galectin-3 (rhGal3, 100 µg/ml) for 24 h. The 2-ΔΔCT method was used for relative quantitation of the number of transcripts. Average fold change relative to expression levels in control fibroblasts is shown. High ΔCT values reflect low amplification efficiency.
