Interleukin-8 modifies the expression profile of microRNA in rat primary skeletal muscle cells

Using Target Scan database we found potential targets for all miRNAs with expression modified by IL-8 and focused our further interest on genes and pathways involved in skeletal muscle hypertrophy, that is: myocilin, PKB/Akt and FoxO3.本研究依托Target Scan数据库（Target Scan），针对所有受白细胞介素8（Interleukin-8, IL-8）调控表达的微小RNA（microRNA, miRNA）筛选得到潜在靶点，并将后续研究重点聚焦于参与骨骼肌肥大过程的基因与信号通路，具体涵盖肌养蛋白（myocilin）、蛋白激酶B/丝氨酸/苏氨酸激酶Akt（PKB/Akt）以及叉头框转录因子O3（FoxO3）。
