The Bees & Bytes dataset contains 670 high-resolution JPEG images (2032×1356 pixels) of specimen labels associated with Apoidea (Hymenoptera) collected from various countries, spanning from the 1800s to the present. Curated by the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, the dataset includes multi-label annotations and supports research in biodiversity informatics, historical data digitization, and computer vision applications such as label content extraction and metadata classification.
