After aligning the reads to the reference genome, expression annotation and quantification were performed using StringTie (Pertea et al., 2016).Differential expression between the two groups was compared using DESeq2, resulting in significance p-values, padj values, and fold-change between genes. In this analysis, differential gene selection was performed with the following criteria: p-value < 0.05 and fold-change > 1.2 or fold-change < 0.83333.
