Data from ex-situ experiments with zero-tension lysimeters using heavy metal contaminated soil, and a mixed crop of Festuca rubra L. and Melilotus albus Medik., a single crop of Helianthus annuus L., inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi (Rhizophagus irregularis), and co-inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi and Streptomyces.
收藏资源简介:
This dataset resulted from an experiment using zero-tension lysimeters and is provided as an Excel file with three sheets. The first sheet includes a legend describing the treatment number, treatment code, and details for each treatment. The second sheet contains the laboratory data, which is a matrix with 244 rows and 49 columns. The variables presented in this matrix are measured from a soil sampled from Gessenhalde, Thuringia, Germany, and from three plant species (Festuca rubra L., Melilotus albus Medik., and Helianthus annuus L.) grown in this soil. Variables were also measured from the leachate. The first row of the matrix is the number of experimental replicates (five for each treatment) with the corresponding codes, respectively, C for the dump soil plus expanded clay, CM for the treatment in which the expanded clay was inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi (Rhizophagus irregularis), and CMS for the treatment in which co-inoculation with mycorrhizal fungi and Streptomyces was used. The compartments from which the variables were measured were from soil before sowing, after F. Rubra and M. albus harvesting, from soil after H. annuus harvesting, from plant parts: F. rubra roots, F. rubra aboveground, M. albus roots, M. albus shoots, M. albus leaf, H. Annuus roots, H. annuus shoots, H. annuus leaf, from leachate of the mixed culture first sample marked with a, leachate mixed culture second sample marked with b, and from H. annuus leachate, a single sample. The elements measured from the soil compartment were in the form of pseudo-total elements (aqua regia) and bioavailable fraction (NH4NO3). Total forms were measured from plants and leachate. In the third sheet with 199 rows and 67 columns, a table with calculations for the mycorrhizal colonization of the three investigated plant species is presented. In the upper part of the table, the calculation formulas used for the mycorrhizal frequency (F), relative mycorrhizal frequency (M), and relative abundance of arbuscules (A) are also inserted. The experimental design and interpretation of a subset of data in conjunction with a complementary data set are provided in the article “The effect of bioremediation methods involving different degrees of soil disturbances on the export of metals by leaching and by plant uptake” published in Geochemistry journal, 69, supplement 2, 2009 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.chemer.2008.01.002). Another subset of data (associated with oxidative stress and mycorrhizal colonization, showing that the effect of Streptomyces – AMF co-inoculation on plants grown in a mining dump is species and element-dependent) will be interpreted in a manuscript to be submitted to the Journal of Experimental Botany. Funded by BMBF project (Germany) “Control of biological investigations during the decontamination of heterogeneous, low-level radioactively contaminated geosubstrates for precautionary radiation protection (KOBIOGEO)” Funding code: 02S8294.
