In this study, two different forms of bivalent vaccines (rClone30-VP2L and rClone30+VP2L) was developed for preventing ND and IBD. The combined vaccine rClone30+VP2L stimulated stronger immune response in the initial stage of immunization, which affected replication of NDV, thereby reducing the immune effect of rClone30. The live vector vaccine rClone30-VP2L stimulated stronger immune response in the middle and late stage of immunization, which did not affected replication of NDV, therefore, the immunization effect of rClone30-VP2L was stronger than that of rClone30+VP2L vaccine. Therefore, the live vector vaccine can be used as a safe and effective vaccine candidate for preventing IBD and ND, and it provides an idea to develop other vaccines against viral infectious diseases.
