Expression of the GFP reporter in adult germ cells is compared to the enrichment of H3K4me2 in the transgene chromatin in the offspring.*The GFP expression in the KW1864 transgene is only detected in post-meiotic sperm (T.M. Edwards and W. Kelly, unpublished).**The PD4251 transgene has been selected for non-mosaic expression, and does not display gamete-of-origin imprinting effects ([14], and A. Fire, pers. communication).***Independent of heat shock treatment.
