Vaccinium floribundum Genome sequencing and assembly. Vaccinium floribundum

Vaccinium floribundum is a wild native species of economic, cultural, and ecological interest in Ecuador. The genome sequencing, assembly, and annotation of this plant would signify the first effort toward unraveling its whole genome sequence and features. Additionally, obtaining a well-assembled and annotated genome would allow for a more in-depth population genomic analysis and open the possibility of describing candidate genes associated with local adaptations.
