资源简介:
Temperature profiles were measured with a Pt-100 temperature sensor (0.1 C resolution) from the surface down to 50 cm depth in 5 cm depth increments. Temperature measurements took place from July 2010 to April 2011. After excavating 1 m deep trenches normal to the water line, the Pt-100 sensor that was mounted at the end of a stainless steel probe of 1.5 mm diameter and 20 cm length, was inserted horizontally into the wall of the trench at 5 cm depth intervals. The temperature was read as soon as the readings stabilized. Temperature data were collected from July 2nd, 2010 to April 21, 2011 at Pensacola Beach, FL. This dataset supports the publication: Huettel, M., Overholt, W.A., Kostka, J.E., Hagan, C., Kaba, J., Wells, W.B., & Dudley, S. (2018). Degradation of Deepwater Horizon oil buried in a Florida beach influenced by tidal pumping. Marine Pollution Bulletin, 126, 488-500. doi: 10.1016/j.marpolbul.2017.10.061
