资源简介:
The Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and other data were collected as part of Vents Program in Coastal Waters of Washington / Oregon, NE Pacific (limit-180). VENTS conducts research on the impacts and consequences of submarine volcanos and hydrothermal venting on the global ocean. The program is directed toward achieving an understanding of the chemical and thermal effects of venting along the northeast Pacific seafloor spreading centers on the North Pacific Ocean. The data was collected by Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, Seattle, WA. These data were collected from June 1990 to October 1993 by NOAA Ship DISCOVERER and the ATLANIS II. The four files contain CTD and light attenuation data collected from the Straits of Juan de Fuca vents in the northwest Pacific. Data were collected with a Seabird model 9 CTD and a SeaTech .25 transmissometer. Pressure data were averaged to 1 decibar. Text files are formatted according to NODC filetype F022. Data was submitted by Dr. David J Pashinski.
