To identify National Institute for Food and Drug Control (140623) and Shin Biofermin S (SBS-1, one of the cocci) which are widely used in clinic, we sequenced and analyzed these two strains.By phylogenetic analysis, 140623 and SBS-1 showed that they belong to the phylogenetic group of E. faecium. The GO, KEGG and COG classifications of the present sequenced two genomes were highly conserved to E. faecium strains. Six putative virulence associated genes, 15 antibiotic resistance genes, 31 genes associated with bacterial toxin were identified from 140623 and SBS-1 representing the resistance mechanisms in natural environments and potential subsequent clinical use in food and drug safety.
