Shipments of eSIM-based devices worldwide 2018 and 2025

In 2018, over 360 million eSIM-based devices were shipped globally. Shipment numbers are projected to grow with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27 percent during the forecast period, reaching approximately two billion units by 2025. Until then, a hardware chip based eSIM solution would be deployed in most eSIM-based devices, whereas after 2025, the adoption of integrated SIM-based solutions will become more popular.
