We aim to implement a physics based modeling approach for spectral hole burning (SHB) in erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. The modeling approach focuses on different groups of erbium ions. These erbium ion groups are simulated with independent gain contributions in a rate equation model and are characterized by erbium ion group specific absorption and emission cross section spectra. In this dataset I provide the Gaussian parameters for my estimations of erbium ion group specific cross section spectra.
