This record contains the testing data from the dissertation “Design of Delamination- and Impact-Resistant Fibre Reinforced Composites based on Customized 3D Multilayer Fabrics" by Philipp Maria Huber, RWTH Aachen University, date of oral examination 31.10.2024. Twelve 3D-woven CFRP and one laminated reference have been characterised by mechanical testing. The textile parameters z-fibre content, binding angle and the type of z-binding are analysed as factors of the 3D fabrics. Statistical design of experiments is used for this purpose. The behaviour under tensile (warp and weft direction), compression, in-plane and out-of-plane shear loading is characterised. In addition, the impact and post-impact behaviour is investigated. The results are analysed using multiple linear regression and correlations are derived. The record contains the following data: *The measured data as Excel files for each sample (tensile in warp and weft, compression, inter- and intralaminar shear, compression after impact) * CT-Scans after Impact * List of DIC files for shear and CAI that are available on request from the author due to the file size. The test methods, standards and deviation from these standards are described in the attached meta files for each test. The data is intendet for further use, e.g. calibration and validation of simulation modells or understanding of the material behaviour.
