River depths and widths dataset for the territory of Poland

The dataset was developed based on field surveys of river cross-sections, which provided detailed information about river centers, depths, and widths, as well as the water level at the time of measurement.
In total, after the removal of missing, corrupted, or infrastructure data, the final dataset contained 20,782 records. The dataset is distributed as a single comma-separated value (.csv) file with the following fields: (1) “longitude” and (2) “latitude” representing the WGS-84 (EPSG:4326) coordinates of the center point in decimal degrees, (3) “width” of the river in meters, (4) “depth” of the river in meters, (5) “water_level” elevation in meters above the mean sea level in PL-KRON86-NH, and (6) “date” of the measurements in the YYYY-MM-DD format for which the width, depth, and water level measurements are valid, (7) “name” of the river in UTF-8 with spaces, and (8) unique “id” number.
The cross-sections data used to develop this dataset were provided by the National Council of Water Management (Krajowy Zarząd Gospodarki Wodnej - KZGW) in Poland, currently The State Water Holding - Polish Waters (Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne Wody Polskie).
