Schisandrin C Regulates Obesity through CD36, CYP7A1 and CYP7B1 in High Fat Diet induced Obese Mice

Using the Illumina high-throughput sequencing platform, we conducted transcriptional profiling on liver tissues of C57BL/6 mice that were treated with a high-fat diet and administered Schisandrin C, simvastatin, or both. We analyzed the resulting transcript data to determine differential gene expression at the transcript level. Overall design: We examined mRNA levels in the liver tissues of C57BL/6 mice that were treated with Schisandrin C, simvastatin, or a combination of Schisandrin C and simvastatin, and fed a high-fat diet.
