资源简介:
For designing buildings and other structures to safely resist earthquakes, the 2009 National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) Recommended Seismic Provisions and the 2010 American Society of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineering Institute (ASCE/SEI) 7 Standard contain maps of Risk-Targeted Maximum Considered Earthquake (MCER) spectral response accelerations, Maximum Considered Earthquake Geometric Mean (MCEG) peak ground accelerations, and long-period transition periods (TL). The MCER ground motions are also in the 2013 ASCE/SEI 41 Standard and the 2012 and 2015 editions of the International Building Code. The MCER, MCEG, and TL maps are derived from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Seismic Hazard Models and are provided in this data release in portable document format (PDF) and Geographic Information System (GIS) formats. The numbering used on the PDF maps is the same as in the above documents for cross-reference purposes. Values from these maps are typically obtained via the USGS Seismic Design Web Services. Please see the "Related External Resources" below for links to the building code reference documents, the USGS National Seismic Hazard Models used, and the corresponding USGS web services. The underlying gridded data for the MCER and MCEG maps can be obtained from the U.S. Geological Survey data release: Gridded earthquake ground motions for the 2009 NEHRP Recommended Seismic Provisions and 2010 ASCE/SEI 7 Standard: U.S. Geological Survey data release, https://doi.org/10.5066/P90R85M7.
