Use of Choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents in delignification and valorisation of lignocellulosic biomass

This thesis investigates the use of green solvents to transform agro-industrial waste into bio-energy and bio-based products. A new technique was developed to produce valuable aromatic monomers from plant biomass without the need for high pressure reactor. The transformation of biomass to high value chemicals and energy will reduce our reliance on fossil fuel. That is a crucial step as we transition to a civilization powered by renewable source of energy.
