Complete genomes of Helicobater pylori J99 culture collection isolates C2 (mouse adapted) and D1

This study used PacBio SMRT sequencing to examine genetic differences between different Helicobacter pylori isolates of the J99 culture collection (PMID: 11724955, PMID: 9923682). Isolate D1 was also sequenced as part of Jackson et al. (PMID: 33370399) and isolate C2 adapted is the mouse adapted product of isolate C2 (also sequenced by Jackson et al.). This study sought to use long read sequencing to better elucidate the structure of these genomes and to evaluate changes in the C2 adapted strain after growth in mouse.
