Aim:This report described the complete genome of a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strain from the wound exudate of a chinese 76-year-old male suffered from bone fracture. Significance and applications: While infections with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) have traditionally been limited to hospitals, community associated cases of MRSA (CA-MRSA) were reported starting in the late 1990s. The genome of this methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus can be used as reference to study the phylogenics characteristic of MRSA worldwide. Moreover，the genome sequence provides a map for the reevaluation of the phenotypes and facilliates broader applications of this organism for comparison of genotypic differences among members of this species.
