Data and Script from "Forest Fire Forecasting for Targeted Prevention Planning in the Brazilian Amazon."

This archive contains data and a R script used to develop the article "Forest Fire Forecasting for Targeted Prevention Planning in the Brazilian Amazon", submitted to Global Ecology and Biogeography. The datasets, in the ZIP folder, contain the variables used to execute the Random Forest forest fire forecast models in the R file. These models were trained with 2023 data and validated with 2024 data. Our results were used to map priority areas for fire prevention in the Brazilian Amazon.For more information, open the read_me file or contact the first author.
