Raw Images from the Didymos Reconnaissance and Asteroid Camera for Optical navigation (DRACO) instrument flown aboard NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) Mission, Version 2.0

This data collection contains the raw images returned by the Didymos Reconnaissance and Asteroid Camera for Optical navigation (DRACO) instrument flown aboard the impactor spacecraft of NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission. These images show the asteroid (65803) Didymos and its moon, Dimorphos, and have been put into a simple 2D FITS format ready for calibration and analysis. The DART mission was a planetary defense mission designed to test and measure the deflection caused by a kinetic impactor (the spacecraft) on the orbit of Dimorphos around its primary, Didymos.
