In 2023, 40 percent of respondents among employees of German companies were checking the security of their open source software (OSS) components manually without analytic tools. At the same time, one-third of respondents reported using such tools. In addition, 32 percent of respondents relied on information transmitted by the commercial providers of the OSS components they used regarding security matters.
