Microbiota in cerebrospinal fluid from patients with shunt infections

Whole genome amplification followed by shotgun sequencing was applied to DNA extracted from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of patients with CSF shunt infections. The goal of the study was to characterize dominant organisms associated with infection and reinfection.
