If the percentage change in the quantity demanded of Chinese yellow chives exceeds the percentage change in its price, the demand is categorized as price elastic, meaning that customers have a high sensitivity to price fluctuations of Chinese yellow chives. The larger the elasticity value, the more sensitive the demand is to price changes. Growers can reasonably plan the planting and market listing schedules of Chinese yellow chives based on the variations in price elasticity of demand, optimize their production and sales strategies, mitigate market risks, and secure stable income.

Collect the demand and price data of Chinese yellow chives over a specific time period.

2. Algorithm and Calculation Specifications:
Calculate the demand elasticity coefficient (Ed) using the following formula:
Ed = -(ΔQ/Q) ÷ (ΔP/P)
