This study aims to examine compositional differences in the nasal microbiota between SARS-CoV-2-infected and non-infected patients.

We performed Oxford Nanopore full-length 16S rRNA sequencing on nasal swabs collected during SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in Malta. Sequencing data were compared against reference database to infer likely taxonomy and evaluate differences in the nasal microbiota of SARS-CoV-2-infected and non-infected patients.
