In 2020, Professors Nie Huihua, Ruan Rui and Shen Ji published the paper "Enterprise Uncertainty Perception, Investment Decision and Financial Asset Allocation" in the journal *World Economy*. This study developed a method to calculate the firm-level economic policy uncertainty index, and employed the index to examine the effect of firms' uncertainty perception on corporate investment and financing. Since its publication, this paper has garnered widespread attention from the academic community.

To promote research on economic policy uncertainty and reduce unnecessary time costs for researchers, Professor Nie Huihua and his research team made the Corporate Economic Policy Uncertainty Perception Index publicly available for academic use. With authorization from the research team, CnOpenData included this dataset in the public data section of its official website to enable convenient access for scholars.
