Seasonal Isotopic Characterization of Water Sources in the Upper Aconcagua River Basin
收藏资源简介:
This dataset stems from a comprehensive research study focused on the seasonal isotopic characterization of water sources within the Upper Aconcagua River Basin. It comprises a total of 71 water samples, meticulously collected and analyzed to evaluate the hydrological processes of this high-altitude environment. The collection was conducted across six distinct seasonal periods, spanning the full year of 2018 (summer, autumn, winter, and spring) and the first half of 2019 (summer and autumn). The samples are categorized as follows: River Samples (n = 46): Obtained from eight strategic sites. Alternative Water Sources (n = 25): Collected during the same campaigns to represent glacial and periglacial environments, groundwater systems, and snow catchments. Dataset Features and Quality Completeness: The dataset is fully populated; there are no missing or null values. Isotopic Data: High-precision stable isotope measurements for all samples. Physicochemical & Geospatial Parameters: Electrical Conductivity measurements for each sample. Geographic Coordinates: Latitude and Longitude for all locations. Topographic Metrics: Specific altitude of the sampling point (m a.s.l.) and the calculated mean altitude of its corresponding sub-basin.
