Pacific Rockfish Barotrauma and Descending Device Dataset

This dataset accompanies a Pacific rockfish (Sebastes spp.) mark-recapture study around a small island in the Strait of Georgia in 2020–2021. We collected field data from 352 tagged rockfishes across nine species, including species-specific differences in external barotrauma symptoms, barotrauma reversal and behaviour during deep-water release, stomach contents of a common rockfish predator, and descending device efficacy.
